First draft coalition
Dig Deeper Media is proud to have been a founding partner of the First Draft News coalition.
First Draft formed as a nonprofit coalition in June 2015 to raise awareness and address challenges relating to trust and truth in the digital age. These challenges are common to newsrooms, human rights organizations and social technology companies and also their audiences, communities and users.
Dig Deeper Media and Meedan have launched Pop-Up Newsroom, an innovation framework for newsrooms that will change the way we collaborate, communicate and engage with audiences through the development of new tools and training.
In partnership with leading newsrooms around the world, Pop-Up Newsroom will see a series of in-person collaborations designed to seed and nurture newsroom innovation across technology, editorial and sustainability.
As part of First Draft's involvement Dig Deeper Media was responsible for devising and running the digital newsgathering operation for Electionland, managing 650 journalists across the country on election day 2016.
Dig Deeper Media is devised the digital newsgathering workflows for the social newsgathering element of ProPublica's Documenting Hate.
